I love finding things that you have lurking around the back of your closet for a few years, especially when they're current pieces. This skirt is a favourite of mine; I picked it up in a market in Paris about 2 Summers ago for a steal at 10 Euros. The print is so cute and I adore the little button details on the front. Keeping in with the floral's I've layered on my amazing lace jacket from River Island with the gorgeous appliqué flower detailing. x

Yesterday I went to the Company Style Blogger Awards 2014 with my amazing friends His Name is Fashion, Hackney Rose and Two Shoes One Pair. It was so nice being there to cheer on Geraint, Naomi and Amy who were all up for awards! The event it was so much fun with the incredible festival theme and great atmosphere. Everyone was so lovely and there was so much to do, starting with drinking some glorious cocktails to getting your hair and nails done to festival inspired temporary tattoos - and so much more!

It was so nice to meet so many lovely people along with some gorgeous and super talented bloggers! I can't wait till next year! x

Call Me Lemonade

I am having such a label crush at the moment on For Love & Lemons. It's a line created by best friends Gillian Mahin and Laura Hall. The latest collection is a beautiful mesh of colours and textures with contrasts of pastels and bleached denim. The line always evokes a laid back and cute yet rebellious vibe and this collection does not disappoint. The pastels and denim are mixed around with ditsy florals and lace in lingerie like silhouettes and playful co-ords. The crochet and lace separates and dresses are my absolute favourites from the line and are also loved by some well known celebrities.

For Love & Lemons has been spotted on the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Sophia Bush, Selena Gomez, the Kardashian/Jenner girls, Katy Perry and so many more. The pictures below are a few of my favourites from their 'Hot Texas Summer' Look-book and after seeing the images below it will become very evident why I adore this line. It's finally Summer in London and I hope this isn't just a short appearance. So all of this sunshine has me in the holiday mood (hopefully I'll be going to New York in August!) and on my wishlist is the staple bikini shape I love; the high-waisted 50's style and this gingham print one by River Island is absolute perfection on this silhouette. I love the pastel shades and nothing complements pastels like more pastels, some fresh white and florals! x

So for those of you who don't know, I work in the fashion industry as part of the International Team at Oasis. Recently I got to go to the Oasis AW14 Press Day, it was an amazing Funfair themed event with displays on carousels and bumper cars and incredible food! The new collections are amazing, my favourites were beautiful winter pastel shades, coloured leather separates, and the conversational 70's style butterfly prints in co-ordinated accessories. Here are a few pictures from the day. x

Call Me Fixed

So it's pretty clear my obsession has been everything and anything midi-length. I seriously can't get enough and though I've mostly been wearing midi skirts, I also seem to be drawn towards midi dresses. I love this soft grey Warehouse cami midi dress. It's such an easy shape that could definitely be worn super casual with flat sandals or loafers, or a bit dressed up like the look below and worn with these dream-worthy lilac strappy sandals by Alexander Wang. Add a bit of printed accessories for some interest, some bright nails, layer up with more pastel hues and just wait for the sun to shine. x

I absolutely adore any kind of nail art and rarely ever do much because I don't really have too many hours in the day to sit and purely focus on my nails. I saw this super cute 'Sticky Fingers' nail art kit from Models Own in this pretty floral theme and thought it looked easy enough, and so I wanted to give it a try for some Spring inspired nails. 

For easy and fun nail art I really can't recommend these enough. Literally just paint your nails, let them dry and place the stickers (I recommend using tweezers) in whatever sequence you like and a good top coat. For this I used my ultimate favourite Sally Hansen Mega Shine top coat and they've lasted for a few days now. The 'Sticky Fingers' kits come in an array of themes and honestly are so easy to use. Anyway I hope all of you are having a wonderful Easter Sunday! x

A few of you may have seen me post these amazing floral trousers on my Instagram - @deepalipatel - a week or so ago, I got them from the East End Thrift Store in East London. They do these unbelievably amazing £1 jumble sales - yes everything is £1!!! As you can imagine they can be quite hit and miss, but with a little patience, a good eye and some mental outfit building you can find some real gems. I've been to about 2 so far and I've got some pretty amazing bits, these floral trousers and this coat being top on the list. 

I adore the print on the trousers and they are super high waisted, which means they hide the bits I don't like so much (bonus points for that). As the print on the trousers is quite bold I opted for all black pieces to accompany them. This gorgeous wool coat was another piece I found at the Jumble Sale. I've been after a long black boyfriend coat for a while and saw this at the Jumble Sale and couldn't believe my eyes. I obviously had to give it a pretty vigorous dry clean and steam, but even before then it was in a amazing condition. I love the little button details on the tail and the gorgeous silk lining.

Even for general vintage shopping I'd recommend The East End Thrift Store, if you're ever in that side of London definitely go! x

Call Me Darling

A couple of weeks back I was off work battling an awful cold. I'm one of those people who can't sit still for very long, so being at home for 3 days I was going pretty insane; I mean how many episodes of Criminal Minds can I actually watch in one day?! I decided to spend my time a bit more creatively and spent a lovely amount of time on my sewing machine.

I have a ridiculous amount of fabric at home and I found this amazing two-tone fabric and knew I had to do something with it. I've been in love with Midi Skirts (obsessed is probably more appropriate) and decided this would be my little project. I opted for a double layer full skirt with pleat detail around the waist band to give the skirt some movement.

When I finally was able to wear the skirt I thought monochromatic florals would add a bit of interest contrasted with little hits of gold hardware on my studded clutch, shoes and belt. x
