Call Me Blushed

Most of my perfumes tend to be on the floral side, I love scents of rose and peony and they all tend to be quite light and sweet. At the end of a little impromptu shopping trip I wandered into The Perfume Shop I spotted YSL Paris Premieres Roses. I was instantly drawn to the little floral decorated box and as soon as I tested the scent I knew I had to have it.

The main scent is a glorious mix of wild rose, orange blossom and violet. The more the scent sits on your skin you end up being surrounded by beautiful tones of lily and peony. Although this perfume has all the floral notes I love, it's actually quite different to all of the perfumes I own, mainly due to the undertones of sandalwood and musk.

All in all it's a bright beautiful floral fragrance, perfect for sunny summer days. Below is some catwalk inspiration from Erdem's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, one of my favourites and in-keeping with the exquisite floral scents from YSL Paris Premieres Roses.

Call Me Prim

I always have had a huge obsession with sunglasses, the quantity I have is insane and the collection keeps on growing. I don't know what it is about sunglasses, I always feel complete when I throw on my pair (when I am outdoors and there is sunshine of course). I instantly fell in love when I saw the Dolce and Gabbana 3D floral sunglasses on the Autumn/Winter 2012-13 catwalk, but kind of forgotten about them until Prada and Anna Sui did floral embellished specs this Spring/Summer.

Anna Sui Spring/Summer 2013

I knew I had to recreate these somehow and I've seen a lot of amazing tutorials online on how to make your own, so this is my interpretation of these insanely amazing sunnies. I Hope you like the two I created.

I used really inexpensive sunglasses from Primark, you have to try them on first to make sure the shape suits and fits your face. The ceramic style flowers are also from Primark, originally they were the decoration on a hair band but with a little force I got them off. I'm sure you could get little flowers from any arts/crafts shop or online. I used a strong nail glue, but any super-glue would do the job. Lastly cover your work surface with some old paper or magazine, you don't want glue getting anywhere it shouldn't be. Next I just started to play around with the shapes and positions of the flowers, then finally I got the glue out and started sticking!

Call Me Laced

Here's a look from a week or so ago, I was trying to channel a bit of festival inspired fashion mixed with my general go-to's for spring and summer; denim and lace. I'm actually wearing a floral embroidered lace top layered over a lace dress, because let's be honest, can you ever have too much lace?

Other things I'll definitely be reaching for is my oversized denim jacket, tan accessories, and any sort of gold jewellery. The more the merrier! x

Call Me Clueless

My bedroom is almost complete, right now it's just the finishing touches and basically re-organising my entire wardrobe, which let's face it, if you are anything like me (which I'm sure you are) it's a ridiculously enormous task! So every day after work or general daily errands I'm organising and organising whilst watching a classic 90's movie.

I don't know if it's because I'm a 90's kid but I'm just so drawn to all the fashion from that era. Any jewellery gold and tacky, acid wash everything, clashing prints, co-ord's, I need it all! Here's some inspirational snaps from my favourite advertising campaigns:

And here's some fashion inspiration from Clueless and The Craft for good measure! x
