Call Me Lively

A while ago I posted about my love for Jessica Alba's style particularly when she wears Kenzo, and one of my favourite looks of hers was the amazing Kenzo yellow neoprene skirt she wore to the MTV movie awards. On my lust list is definitely a neoprene skirt of any kind in any colour. Below is another Kenzo skirt but in a shorter length and it is divine. I love the shape of the skirts and the fabric is so soft yet structured it is so wearable with also being a statement piece in itself. x

Call Me Adore

For Christmas my amazing mother got me Roses de Chloé and I felt the need to voice my thoughts about it because it seems to be the only fragrance I wear lately, and every other day I get lovely comments from people telling me how nice I smell. Now I always tend to be a bit sceptical when different versions of signature scents are released and I was even more sceptical for Roses de Chloé as the Chloé signature scent is my staple fragrance and has been for as long as I can remember.

But the minute opened my gift and smelled Roses de Chloé I was hooked, I guess this is one of those moments where you end up telling yourself that 'mother knows best' and indeed, she does. Roses de Chloé has the signature warm notes of the Chloé fragrance but the strong hits of bergamot and damascena rose combined with the undertone of magnolia is simply exquisite.

Call Me Blushed

Most of my perfumes tend to be on the floral side, I love scents of rose and peony and they all tend to be quite light and sweet. At the end of a little impromptu shopping trip I wandered into The Perfume Shop I spotted YSL Paris Premieres Roses. I was instantly drawn to the little floral decorated box and as soon as I tested the scent I knew I had to have it.

The main scent is a glorious mix of wild rose, orange blossom and violet. The more the scent sits on your skin you end up being surrounded by beautiful tones of lily and peony. Although this perfume has all the floral notes I love, it's actually quite different to all of the perfumes I own, mainly due to the undertones of sandalwood and musk.

All in all it's a bright beautiful floral fragrance, perfect for sunny summer days. Below is some catwalk inspiration from Erdem's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, one of my favourites and in-keeping with the exquisite floral scents from YSL Paris Premieres Roses.

Call Me Spirit

I treated myself to a new perfume a few weeks ago and have been dying to write my thoughts. I always like waiting a while and wearing the fragrance a lot before I voice my opinions. I find it's always important to get a feel of how the perfume sits on me, and also whether I feel like it's something I'll be reaching for on a daily basis.

Especially Escada was my pick after seeing the ads on TV and in magazines. I loved playfulness of the ads and honestly the perfume didn't disappoint. The Rose hit is strong at first but slowly wears away into a beautiful light combination of the Rose and Ylang Ylang. Mixed with sugary scents of Pear all mixed with a warm tone of Musk running through the perfume I fell in love. I did find it was a bit to sweet for really hot summer days but I think it will definitely be my staple scent in the transition from Summer to Fall.
Just want to say a big thank you to all my followers. I hit 100 and it means so much to me that all of you like my blog! Super big kiss X.

I picked up this jumper randomly and honestly it had been sitting in my wardrobe for a while. Not knowing really what to do with it, and also realising that I had another similar one I decided to stud it. I love the long shoulder seams so I studded the entire length, it's actually become one of my favourite jumpers. I hope everyone is enjoying there week, unfortunately it's back to reality for me as I'm back at work tomorrow after a look weekend off, boo! x

Call Me Rose

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! Mine was pretty quiet, but nice. Spent a lot of time with the family which is always a fun, the only thing that put a damper on it was the temperamental weather, but that still didn't bother me. I feel like I have finally escaped that awkward mid-season part of my wardrobe. Finally the spring pastels and nudes are out and so was the sun when I went out for lunch with the sister - well, for a few hours anyway. x

Call Me Bloom

For a while I’ve been craving a new scent for Spring, I didn’t really have a particular perfume in mind but I knew I wanted one. I heard all the love for the original Miss Dior Cherie but I found that it’s a bit too strong for me. I’ve always leaned more towards fresh floral fragrances whatever the season and after smelling the ‘Blooming Bouquet’ edition of Miss Dior Cherie I literally fell head over heels. There are subtle hints of rose, patchouli and peony all mixed in the signature chic bow-topped bottle. One word – yum.
