Call Me Cosmic

I've been drawn to metallics this season ever since the Lanvin and Proenza Schouler SS14 shows. I hunted around for a metallic skirt; something I could wear easily with sheer pastel shirts or a cute jumper and I ended up finding an amazing one at Whistles. It was a bit pricey at £125 and just when I decided I would splurge and buy it I found an almost identical version at Warehouse for a fraction of the price. Now the fabric is slightly different and the silver is toned down a bit more in the Whistles version, but actually that is something I prefer more about the Warehouse skirt. It definitely did pay off to shop around that little bit more because I really did get a good find!
I am so in love with it and as it's so lightweight it will definitely be a piece to carry over when the weather begins to warm up. I wore it last weekend when out shopping with the amazing Geraint from His Name is Fashion and as it was a bit cooler I wore it with a polka-dot jumper and threw more monochrome in there with my shoes. x

Call Me Fixed

So it's pretty clear my obsession has been everything and anything midi-length. I seriously can't get enough and though I've mostly been wearing midi skirts, I also seem to be drawn towards midi dresses. I love this soft grey Warehouse cami midi dress. It's such an easy shape that could definitely be worn super casual with flat sandals or loafers, or a bit dressed up like the look below and worn with these dream-worthy lilac strappy sandals by Alexander Wang. Add a bit of printed accessories for some interest, some bright nails, layer up with more pastel hues and just wait for the sun to shine. x

Call Me Heart

I absolutely adore any kind of nail art and rarely ever do much because I don't really have too many hours in the day to sit and purely focus on my nails. I saw this super cute 'Sticky Fingers' nail art kit from Models Own in this pretty floral theme and thought it looked easy enough, and so I wanted to give it a try for some Spring inspired nails.

For easy and fun nail art I really can't recommend these enough. Literally just paint your nails, let them dry and place the stickers (I recommend using tweezers) in whatever sequence you like and a good top coat. For this I used my ultimate favourite Sally Hansen Mega Shine top coat and they've lasted for a few days now. The 'Sticky Fingers' kits come in an array of themes and honestly are so easy to use. Anyway I hope all of you are having a wonderful Easter Sunday! x

Call Me Time

Yesterday I had my cousins Baby Shower and it was so much fun! I can't wait to meet the new arrival in around 7 weeks or so! We literally spent the day and night eating too much, playing games and trying to figure out what to name the little boy that will be joining us soon.

I opted for head to toe monochrome; excluding my lovely candy pink coat from New Look and my pastel gem necklace from Forever 21. The midi skirt (yes, I know another one!) is from Warehouse and I love it's amazing structure and fabric.

Well I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend, and if any of you have suggestions for boys names please leave them in your comments! x

Call Me Team

I love playing around with textures and colours in any shape and form. I was inspired by this Suno Cotton Crop and Pencil Skirt with its amazing structure and the woven gold thread. Playing around with colour I thought hits of electric pink would add a bit of interest. And for the accessories layers of gold, gold, and more gold because well, why not? x

Call Me Mine

A few of you may have seen me post these amazing floral trousers on my Instagram - @deepalipatel - a week or so ago, I got them from the East End Thrift Store in East London. They do these unbelievably amazing £1 jumble sales - yes everything is £1!!! As you can imagine they can be quite hit and miss, but with a little patience, a good eye and some mental outfit building you can find some real gems. I've been to about 2 so far and I've got some pretty amazing bits, these floral trousers and this coat being top on the list.

I adore the print on the trousers and they are super high waisted, which means they hide the bits I don't like so much (bonus points for that). As the print on the trousers is quite bold I opted for all black pieces to accompany them. This gorgeous wool coat was another piece I found at the Jumble Sale. I've been after a long black boyfriend coat for a while and saw this at the Jumble Sale and couldn't believe my eyes. I obviously had to give it a pretty vigorous dry clean and steam, but even before then it was in a amazing condition. I love the little button details on the tail and the gorgeous silk lining.

Even for general vintage shopping I'd recommend The East End Thrift Store, if you're ever in that side of London definitely go! x
